about

Opening track from EP Technical Heights. The song's kind of old, the first draft demo probably from 2009 or so. We finished the foundation in the same post christmas 2012 session as Don't let it bring you down but didn't really complete the tracking until a few months later. Noise in beginning is authentic Finnish/Swedish girl chatter from a Sunday brunch at Kvarngatan, when also the banjo hook so elegantly delivered by Olli Nousiainen was recorded.

lyrics

Jane took off, six hundred thousand clicks home
Seasons change, spend some time on her own
But we can talk on the telephone

pacific time, can't be mine, migratory bird of a girl
A fall apart, winter starts, she will return from the world

Home again wish that things were the same
Look so strange it must be her eyes that have changed
She says on the telephone
